Portrait of Tamar
This is one of the last pieces for this year 2023. I am experimenting with paper on edge. It gives the work a very painterly and gestural feel reminiscent of oil painting, even though it is just paper. This is a departure from my usual format.
I just experienced Ms. Sweo's amazing art at the Mesa Modern Art Museum.
ReplyDeleteThe use of seemingly endless numbers of paper dots, attention-grabbing use of molded fabric, and the absolutely stunning use of folded paper made for a totally engaging afternoon.
