Quinceañera
I finished this piece in September. It took me a little while to get it posted. Very happy with the way this turned out. I was experimenting with paper as fabric to articulate folds and contours.

Portraiture is a complex art form. On its surface it presents a likeness of its subject. Embedded in these renderings are the relationship between myself and the subjects presented. My works are mementos and a means of self-expression of peoples I have met and places I have lived. I work with ink and paper manipulation. I intentionally render faces with a minimal amount of detail to keep memories as ethereal as possible.
