A more familiar exploration of texture and cutting paper. This piece was finished in July, 2022. Inspiration comes from long summer days of playing out in the sun and all flights of fantasy had potential to become real.

Portraiture is a complex art form. On its surface it presents a likeness of its subject. Embedded in these renderings are the relationship between myself and the subjects presented. My works are mementos and a means of self-expression of peoples I have met and places I have lived. I work with ink and paper manipulation. I intentionally render faces with a minimal amount of detail to keep memories as ethereal as possible.
