Primavera
The last piece of 2021! I had done a couple of pieces on the theme of Spring not too long ago. This is a third variation on that theme. This piece is titled Primavera and the translation of first green.

Portraiture is a complex art form. On its surface it presents a likeness of its subject. Embedded in these renderings are the relationship between myself and the subjects presented. My works are mementos and a means of self-expression of peoples I have met and places I have lived. I work with ink and paper manipulation. I intentionally render faces with a minimal amount of detail to keep memories as ethereal as possible.
