Shieldmaiden II
My most recent works center around the theme of the shieldmaiden, influenced by Norse mythos. I am planning a series of five pieces. This is the second in the series, the destroyer of wyverns.

Portraiture is a complex art form. On its surface it presents a likeness of its subject. Embedded in these renderings are the relationship between myself and the subjects presented. My works are mementos and a means of self-expression of peoples I have met and places I have lived. I work with ink and paper manipulation. I intentionally render faces with a minimal amount of detail to keep memories as ethereal as possible.
